People in Projects | Change Management Training | PRINCE2™
About Project Laneways
Project Laneways is a training and consulting company, founded by Dan Skelsey , an experienced project manager and trainer. Projects are not just about process and tools. We cover both people and process for projects, because we understand that people and process are equally important for project success. We will train and advise on both aspects of project management. Project Laneways is based in Melbourne but provides services across Australia and internationally. |

We are here to provide real and practical knowledge. Our experience is real. Our training is skilled.
Have you become frustrated with the mistakes of others such as:-
- Pretending that projects don't experience real people issues
- Treating project processes as the silver bullet for all problems
- Focusing on exams at the expense of real understanding
- Believing that training is just an endless succession of bullet points
- Ignoring the real affects of different national and organisational cultures
We understand these issues and want to help you and your organisation how to get the best of both.

Dan Skelsey - Director & Lead Trainer
Dan is both an experienced project manager and trainer.
His experience extends across five continents and many industries. He has worked on projects in large international companies and small businesses. He has been frequently asked to implement complex changes that involve process change and cultural change.
Dan was amongst the first in Australia to pass the UK APMG Change Management accreditation assessment and become an accredited trainer.
He has taught approximately 100 PRINCE2™ courses to over 1000 participants in eight countries. His own experience as a Project Manager allows him to address complex issues and explain them in an easily understandable manner. Dan enjoys training and this is reflected in his teaching style. Participants have suggested that this makes the course feel more like a discussion than a lecture and makes the learning experience very enjoyable as well as rewarding.
" As the manager responsible for organising much of the PRINCE2 training in our organisation, I received considerable feedback about Dan's ability to make an essentially dry subject interesting and engaging. He was always professional and friendly and his advice about about how to gain the benefits from PRINCE2 was sound and useful. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is interested in improving project delivery on either an organisational or personal level." Barry Harrison, July 2007
Dan has a Masters from Cambridge University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
